CAMINHOS DO ARACATIAÇU

Caminhos do Aracatiaçu is an approximately 4-hour tour through the western side of the region, carried out in a 4x4 pickup truck, with a local guide and safe assistance throughout the entire route. It is ideal for those who wish to discover the coast in a more authentic, peaceful way, connected to local culture.

The route begins from the pousada and crosses the Aracatiaçu River ferry, continuing through Redoia, Bela Vista, Mirinduba, and Mosquito, before returning along the beach. Along the way, visitors encounter different landscapes, ways of life, and stories that reveal the identity of the region.

During the tour, it is possible to experience up close the daily life of riverside and rural communities, their traditions, handmade crafts, and their relationship with the river, the land, fishing, and family farming.

At some points along the route, visitors can observe activities connected to cashew cultivation, plantations, work with carnaúba, and other traditional knowledge passed down through generations. In Mirinduba, the experience also brings visitors closer to families who maintain activities such as beekeeping, strengthening the relationship between nature, work, and culture.

The tour also passes through the community of Mosquito, where it is possible to meet local artisans such as Dona Rosa, who transforms clay into pieces full of identity and memory.

More than a simple journey, this tour is an invitation to slow down, observe, and feel local life with respect, simplicity, and connection.

LAGOAS E TRADIÇOES

Lagoas e Tradições is a tour through the eastern side of the region, created for those who wish to discover the coast in a peaceful, authentic way, connected to nature and local culture.

The route begins from the pousada and continues to Lagoa das Frecheiras, with a stop at Barraca da Flô, a simple and welcoming place to experience the calm rhythm of the region. Along the way, visitors pass through the communities of Flecheiras, Picada, Bom Sucesso, Sabiaguaba, and Caetanos, crossing natural landscapes, lagoons, and communities that preserve ways of life connected to the land, water, and local traditions.

During the farinhada season, the tour can become even more special: visitors may have the opportunity to experience this tradition with the community, learning up close about a practice passed down through generations.

The route also passes by Lagoa do Sabiaguaba, Caetanos de Cima, and the Lençóis Cearenses, in Caetanos — a natural landscape formed by wind-shaped dunes and natural pools that appear between them, creating a light, beautiful, and surprising scenery.

The return takes place along Praia dos Caetanos to Icaraizinho, where the coastal landscape brings the experience to a light and memorable end.

More than a tour through lagoons, this route is an invitation to slow down, observe, and experience the coast in its true essence.

Along the way, visitors encounter simple landscapes, local stories, and ways of life connected to the land, the river, the sea, and the traditions of the coast. It is a more complete experience, designed for those who want to explore the territory calmly and discover places that are part of the region’s cultural identity.

The route continues to Praia dos Patos, in Itarema, Ceará. From there, the tour goes on toward Torrões, passing by the Aracatimirim River, until reaching the region of Almofala, where visitors can meet local artisans and experience some of the traditional knowledge preserved by the community.

In Itarema, there is a stop for lunch and also a visit to the boat harbor and tuna fishing area, bringing visitors closer to an important part of the region’s economic and cultural life.

OUR STORY

EVE VIERIA

Eve Vieira is from the region between Itapipoca and Amontada, in Ceará. Born and raised near the sea, the rivers, the communities, and the simple roads of the countryside, he grew up closely connected to a way of life shaped by fishing, agriculture, and local traditions. For many years, his relationship with the region was built day by day: through work, landscapes, customs, and the everyday life shared with the people who are part of this territory. As a fisherman and farmer, Eve learned from an early age the importance of nature, time, the land, and the sea for the life of coastal communities. Over the years, the desire arose to go beyond fishing and agriculture. That was when he decided to seek knowledge in entrepreneurship and tourism, with the goal of transforming his local experience into meaningful experiences for visitors who wish to discover the region in a more authentic way. This is how the tours were born: not merely as tourist routes, but as a way to share the culture, customs, stories, and natural beauty of Amontada and Ceará’s coast. Each path presented by Eve carries a part of his own story. These routes pass through beaches, rivers, lagoons, communities, and landscapes that are part of the local identity. More than showing beautiful places, the purpose is to bring visitors closer to the real life of the region, with respect, simplicity, and connection with those who live here. Our story is made of roots, memory, and belonging. It is an invitation to experience the coast with more calm, discover its paths, and feel the natural and cultural richness found in every encounter.

2008. This is how tourism began in Icaraí de Amontada.

A historical record: the first pickup truck to cross on the Ilha das Ostras ferry, on the Aracatiaçu River.

How can we begin to describe our experience with Raízes do Litoral? It was simply unforgettable. We had always imagined that Ceará’s coast would be a beautiful destination, but through this experience we were able to go beyond the landscapes: we experienced the local culture up close, discovered stories, paths, and people that made everything truly special. It was much more than we expected from a trip. We took with us unique memories, the kind that stay with you for a lifetime.
